When Life Hands You Lemons...
Well, you know how it goes. This past week hasn't been a time of gallivanting through the Costa Rican jungle but instead was replaced with a time of family and mourning. My grandfather died in my home at age 75 a week ago. While he was sick, we did not expect it to happen so soon. Even though my family may not have felt ready to say goodbye, he went peacefully and he is now in a much better place. Instead of international travel I spent the past week in North Alabama with my entire extended family. It was a good chance to see everyone before I head off for the semester. The time was well spent helping with funeral arrangements and cleaning house. It is hard when someone passes, especially someone you are close to but it also brings me happiness to know that my grandfather is no longer hurting. The Obituary is linked for further details.
